I have joined the new Western Dressage Association as a
lifetime member. I would like to encourage others to join.
It is
my dearest hope that this new association will celebrate the
horse/human partnership, and reward humane, kind training and handling
methods. (I am sick of seeing "big name trainer" abusers worshiped like
gods in the AQHA/APHA/NSBA.)
One of the cool things about
dressage is that because of the way it is
scored, it is natural for
one to be able to "compete" to improve one's
personal best.
Progressive communication between horse and rider are just as important,
or more important, than winning.
The Western Dressage Association
is an idea whose time has come! Let's give it our support!
